The Christmas Spider is the 2nd special creature to be added into the game.
General Information[]
They have the same amount of health golden Tarantulas would. They have max attack rate and move much faster compared to a Tarantula.
When they spot an enemy, they will lock onto it for a third of a second and then run towards it.
It is highly recommended not to kill these creatures.
Description[]
Austracantha Minax can often be found living near each other in large overlapping aggregations of orb webs of usually thirty individuals.
Stats[]
Christmas Spiders have decent health, although they are very fast and have an insanely good attack speed. They have the same attack rate and health stats as the Ghost Mantis and Festive Tiger Beetle.
They can be upgraded a max of 60% each stat in the Creature Lab.

Defeating[]
The player ant recruits soldier ants and send them in to attack. There is no way to prevent some soldiers from dying so be ready. It is best to approach slowly so that the soldiers stay around the player ant. If the player rushes in ahead of the soldiers, the Christmas spider will target the player and quickly attack.
Battles[]
Damage dealer. Like a scorpion, but faster speed and attacks at a faster rate.
The movement speed and very high attack rate are what make this creature so deadly. It can take out attacking ants very quickly or snipe a player ant in the middle of battle. It can also deal a large amount of damage to enemy creatures.
In Platinum/Diamond League[]
The Christmas spider is one of the most ideal creatures for this league, due to the high amount of damage it deals against other creatures and its speed. It's only weakness is its mediocre health, attackers can easily paralyze and wipe out the Christmas spider with chrysanthemum.
