General Information[]
They have a lot more health than a rhino beetle and a bit more speed.
They are neutral creatures and will not attack unless something is attacking it.
It is highly recommended not to kill these creatures.
Description[]
Genus Anoplognathus. Christmas beetles are large members of the scarab family. They typically have elytra that are dark or light brown, or green, while some species have a green-yellow iridescence.
Stats[]
Christmas Beetles are pretty tanky even when they are 1 star, although they are a bit faster. At 4 stars it has the highest health of any creature in the game, higher than a 4-star rhinoceros, golden 4-star bombardier and golden 4-star rhinoceros.
It can be upgraded to a max of 20% of each stat in the Creature Lab.

Defeating[]
When fighting the beetle, send soldier ants to attack, then when its body turns red, click 'retreat' and the soldier ants will go out of the beetle's range before it attacks. Then click 'attack' again. Do the same over and over until it is defeated (make sure to keep out of its attack range, as being caught in its devastating attack results in annihilation).
Battles[]
Christmas beetle, like the rhino beetle, is often used as a tank in attacking and defense. When attacking, it can be placed in the middle of enemy creatures to lead them away from an area or distract them to allow attacking creatures to attack without taking damage themselves. It can also be place near enemy soldiers to take huge amounts of them in one swipe.
In defense, it can be attacked for a long time and will either distract enemy creatures or lead them through a swarm of ants or to the Venus fly trap.
Good as support vs creatures, although it has a lot of health.
